Nomination for award

As a Movie & Television Producer who loves to shoot in Palm Springs, I always endeavor to bring my productions here. My responsibilities to the production include: to make the budget stretch as far as possible, the thorough preparation & ease of the shoot together with the facilitation of the Cast & Crew.

When it comes to accommodations, Palm Mountain Resort and Spa is my first stop when preparing a budget & schedule. Tim Ellis and David Paterson intrinsically understand the production needs of a company - comfort, convenience and affordability. Case in point: During a heavy shoot schedule, we were working long days and sometimes nights during a shoot last year. I was contacted by David Patterson who asked me what my call time was for the crew - now this is movie speak for 'what time do you start work' - but David knew that 12 - 14 hours after our 'call time' we would be coming back to the hotel to crash and burn (sleep hard). He knew enough to realize we would be sleeping into the mid-morning hours due to finishing work around 4-5am and that in order to be effective the next day, we would need our sleep. David made arrangements to delay the scheduled landscaping (which would include noisy leaf blowers and lawn mowers) for the next day so that the cast & crew could sleep. So impressive for a hotel to anticipate our needs ! They arranged for the pool to be opened later so our cast and crew could relax after a long day, they arranged bus transportation to a Yucaipa location, thus securing our room nights in Palm Springs, they rearranged their front desk so we could use their operating front desk as a movie set and they rescheduled maid service so our cast & crew could operate within the movie shoot's schedule and have clean rooms. I have experienced nothing but cooperation and hospitality from everyone from Tim Ellis, General Manager, to Edwin & his front desk staff to George and his maintenance & housekeeping dept. Each and every member of staff have been trained to anticipate the production needs of a movie with professionalism and good grace.
